Google updates Algorithms frequently approx 500 times in a year, but most of them unnoticed and very few Algo update impact the websites or Targeting keywords of webs in SERP. The update is the most important part of a Search Engine because it maintains quality work.so it’s very important for Digital Marketer also to update themself by Search Engine Algorithm Changes. There are many Core updates of Google Search Engine Till Now.

Google Panda Update(24 Feb, 2011):-

Panda Google Algorithm updated in 24 Feb, 2011. Panda updated for Unique Content, If you want spam free or top ranking in SERP, its the most important that use unique content in website & at the time of promotion also.

Google Penguin Update (April 2012):-

Google Penguin Update for Spamming Backlink to boost your website. According to Google, you can’t create spamming backlinks to promote your website. If google found you work against google guidelines and algorithm updates, the website would be banned.

Google Pigeon Update:-

Google Pigeon update was released on 24 July 2014. The purpose of the Pigeon update is to improve the ranking of local SEO based searches. Google Maps Search results also affected by this Algo Upadte.

Google Mobile-Friendly Update:-

Google Mobile-Friendly Update launched On April 21, 2015. Google updated it for mobile-friendly pages, if you have mobile-friendly pages then will get better ranking in Google’s mobile search results.

Google Hummingbird :

Sep 26, 2013, Google launched the Hummingbird Algorithm update. According to this update, you can get the more relevant result in SERP when searching for any inquiry.

Google RankBrain Algorithm:-

October 26th, 2015 Google RankBrain Algorithm Launched by Google. RankBrain updated to Find the most relevant queries results when search in SERP. Machine learning is used in RainkBrain updated to determine the best relevant result for users.

Google Local Possum Update:-

Google Possum is a Google algorithm update launched in September 2016 to improve local search results. The Possum algorithm main objective was to Quality local search results and find spam results that come in ranking.

Google Fred Update(unconfirmed March 2017 update)-

Google Fred Algo updated in March 2017, This update affected many website Ranking due to thin Content and
Spamming Backlinks.

Google BERT Expands (October 2020):-

Google BERT (Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers) Updated in October 2020. It affected 10% google Search. In Google BERT search became more relevant and prepositions like “to” and “for” matter a lot to the meaning of your search query.

Google June & July Core Update:—

Google June & July Core Update launched in June and July Month of 2021, It affected the website ranking(Decreases Ranking position) having thin Content.

Link Spam Update (26 July-2021):-

In this update,your website spammy Backlinks not be counted which help your website to rank in SERP. Google didn’t penalize website due to the spammy link but it would not counted by Google.
